REGISTERED PRATICAL NURSE – PRIMARY CARE
Job Type: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 8:30-4:30, and Tuesdays 10:00am-6:00pm, 4 days a week, 30hrs/wk, permanent Location: Mount Forest, ON
Remuneration: $24.13-$28.08 Pay rate is dependent upon experience.
Mount Forest Family Health Team, serving people living in northern Wellington County and southern Grey and Bruce counties, offers health care professionals the opportunity to work at top of scope within an interprofessional team. In addition to their primary care work, the affiliated physicians in Mount Forest Family Health Organization also ensure the local hospital and long-term care facilities receive medical services. We are a very busy team!
If you are a Registered Practical Nurse who loves to work collaboratively within a team to ensure that patients receive quality care focused on improving their lives, this position is for you.
The Registered Practical Nurse works in a supportive role to patients and three Nurse Practitioners in a clinical setting. As well as part of team that includes Nurse Clinicians, Administrative and Program Support, and Allied Health Professionals. The Registered Practical Nurse will provide administrative support, as well as working at top of scope, providing immunizations, patient education, health promotion, running/contributing to programs, and preventing illness and managing chronic disease.
This position is best suited to an individual with:
· Current registration with the College of Nurse of Ontario
· Competence within the full scope of practice of an RPN
· Knowledge of broad spectrum of health issues
· Excellent technical skills for providing injections and point of care testing
· Experience assessing the health status of individuals
· Experience with Electronic Medical records
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to efficiently interact and coordinate support for patients
· An ability to manage a variety of roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
· Strong attention to detail and time management skills
· Covid-19 Vaccinated
Preference will be given to a candidate with 3+ years of experience working in a Primary Care setting or another similar position.
