Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. Please complete a Patient History Form. Drop it off or mail it in to assure your health information remains private. We do not accept patient history forms via email.

Can I book a virtual appointment with my provider?

Many of our providers offer phone appointments with patients where it is appropriate to do so. Contact your provider to discuss your specific situation.

What is the difference between a kinesiologist and an occupational therapist?

An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps people safely perform daily life activities (dressing, cooking, working) following an injury or illness. A Kinesiologist (Kin) is a human movement specialist who uses exercise and active rehabilitation to improve strength, mobility, and overall physical performance.

Do you have a walk-in clinic?

While we do not offer walk in appointments, we do reserve a small number of appointments for situations that need to be managed within a day or two. Call the clinic to discuss your situation and what options we can provide.

Can I get a new prescription by calling in and speaking with my provider?

For new conditions or issues please book an appointment with your provider to determine what’s recommended for your situation. For some minor ailments, your local pharmacist may be able to help. Learn more about the types of health care services you can access at the pharmacy on the Government of Ontario website.

Who do I call to get a repeat of my medication prescription?

Even prescriptions that have “run out” can often be filled by contacting your pharmacy.

Can I get my travel vaccinations at the clinic?

Yes, please call and ask to speak your primary care provider’s nursing support. You may have to bring your own vaccine from your pharmacy for administering.

What happens if I arrive late for my appointment?

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment and use your health card to check in using the kiosk. Should you arrive after your appointment time, please go straight to the receptionist on arrival. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after your appointment time, you may risk not being seen while we go on to our next appointment.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

If you miss your appointment, you may not be able to get an appointment right away. We do our best to meet everyone’s schedules and needs.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

If your needs are deemed acute, we will seek out an appointment held for more time sensitive and urgent concerns. Most appointments are scheduled for longer-term health management or non-urgent needs and will be booked in according to your provider’s availability. That may be a week or longer. If your condition changes or worsens while you wait for your appointment, please contact us to determine what next steps are best for you.

Can I see a NP instead of a doctor?

Some appointments are available for acute situations where you may be able to see an NP instead of your
doctor. These appointments are booked through your doctor’s office.
